Yeah, you've reached Shane. I can't get to my phone right now, so gimme a message and I'll get back to ya.

[ She feels like explaining in words would be useless compared to the sheer effectiveness of holding her phone out to the gaping, groaning mouth of one of the walkers trying to force its way through the chain lock and letting him listen to those lovely sounds for a bit.

Now that you know what she's 'going on about', she's back on the phone. ]

I can't tell how many there are or where the hell they came from, but they're damn hungry.

[ Then there's the sound of shattering glass, a curse under Andrea's breath, after a minute, a couple of gunshots. ]

They got in. I don't-... I'm three stories up. [ How the fuck they got in through the window, she hasn't got the slightest clue. A couple more shots, and then a sudden silence. And in a hushed, almost shocked tone: ] Amy. [ Sorry, Shane, she's setting the phone down then, so anything you say is pretty much wasted. ]

[ His herd and her herd are gonna blend in just a minute here, especially considering hers are coming in three different windows now and the wooden front door is splintering.

And Andrea's trying to keep up as best she can, shooting the ones that get too close, but that's a little hard considering she can't take her eyes off of her sister. She's exactly as Andrea last saw her, bullet-hole and all. And she's approaching just like the other zombies, but slower, so the others stagger past her for the slaughter. It's like she's as shocked to see Andrea as Andrea is to see her, but there's no shock in her lifeless eyes.

By the time Shane arrives, the floor's a mess of bodies from what must have been wave one of the invasion, and Andrea's on the floor with her back to the wall, gun pointed at Amy's head. She looks utterly and miserably horrified, and for good reason--the last four shots all went straight through Amy's skull, and the undead girl's still approaching. Andrea's gun hand's shaking now, and her breathing's fast and unsteady. Even when Shane shows up, her gaze is transfixed on the body of her sister.

Sorry, Shane. Andrea is not okay. ]

It won't--! [ 'It won't fucking die!' is her aim, but she only gets two words out before her throat closes around her otherwise ragged shout. And to demonstrate, she's putting the rest of her clip through Amy's skull, one by one. There were only four left--the first three stagger the zombie back, the last knocks it on its ass, but then it's dragging itself haphazardly back onto its feet and approaching with a faint undead moan.

Andrea's breath hitches, and she's shaking her head, pressing harder back against the wall as if escape were a thing that was possible. ]

Yeah. [ But that comes after a pause, and it's shaky at best. She's trying to be, she really is. In fact, she's standing up now, though one hand's on the wall for a second to steady herself. ] I just-... I guess I'm a little confused, that's all. [ Her tone suggests that 'confused' is more like 'blindsided and kind of horrified, ngl' but she's not about to say that. ]

[ For a second, it doesn't seem like she's going to reply. Her gaze ends up back on Amy, despite everything. But then she's reaching out to snag him by the arm (more a 'hey, Shane' than any actual dragging) and heading for the window with the fire escape. There are zombies there, too, but the fact stands that walkers can't climb ladders. However they got up there, the four or five directly pressing against the window are gonna be the only ones. Then they've got a clear path down to ground level. In theory, anyway.

She's lifting her gun to try to shoot them each in the head, but only a second later remembers that she used the last of her clip on Amy and her spare's in the bedroom that is now somehow filled with walkers. ]
